Tucked along Vanowen Street, this Mexican restaurant stands out not just for its vibrant menu but also for the kind of experience that keeps people coming back and leaving positive reviews.

Walking in around lunchtime, the energy is upbeat but not overwhelming. The space feels casual and comfortable, and it’s easy to settle in whether you’re dining solo or with a group. One thing that stood out right away is how practical the setup is-there’s a wheelchair accessible restroom, a clean restroom overall, and even a bar onsite if you’re in the mood to pair your meal with a drink. Plus, free street parking nearby makes the visit that much easier.

Now, let’s talk about the food, because that’s really where this spot shines. The Chicken Fajitas arrive sizzling hot, packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. Meanwhile, the Carne Asada Plate with Cheese Enchilada offers a hearty combination that feels both indulgent and satisfying. If you’re into crispy textures, the Sizzling Taquitos are a must-try. They come out fresh and golden, with just the right crunch. Even the Taco Dorado Kids Plate shows attention to detail, making it a great option for families looking for something simple yet tasty.

What makes this location feel special is how everything ties together. The menu is diverse without being overwhelming, the service is smooth during lunch hours, and the overall atmosphere encourages you to relax and enjoy your time. It’s the kind of place where you can easily become a regular, especially if you’re exploring different locations in North Hollywood.

Overall, Salsa & Beer #3 delivers a consistent, enjoyable dining experience with flavorful dishes, thoughtful services, and a welcoming setting that feels genuine rather than forced.

What customers say?

“ Convenient to get food to go. Is that the same Great taste same ingredients.. Bombay! Chicken n shrimp Combo... Huge delicious plate... I order it with no veggies but add grilled jalapenos and grilled onion... Fire ”

“ I am a huge fan of Salsa and Beer! This is a little hole in the wall with just five booths. The food is delicious and the portions are great for the price! The shredded beef taco is really good, and the rice/beans are super yummy and authentic. My only complaint is the size of the tomato pieces, which are cut REALLY big. Overall, definitely worth a stop!!! ”

- Devin Diaz -

“ I love the salsa selection, and the food is reminiscent of home. It’s definitely on my monthly restaurant rotation. The staff is always super friendly, and helpful when it comes to recommendations. The food is plentiful, and makes for a great leftover meal the next day. They have a couple locations, so I recommend talking a visit. ”

“ First I have to say that we are big fans of Salsa and Beer #2! In fact, it's my favorite ???????? Mexican restaurant...period!! Here's the thing, it is an absolute zoo no matter what time of the day or night you go. Parking is really difficult and there's always a wait. Of course, it's totally worth it. Now, comes Salsa and Beer #3.... It's very small compared to #2 ...BUT... We had no trouble parking... there wasn't any wait... the food was every bit as delicious as my favorite#2.... and... To top it off.... we had the most awesome waitress...ever! Her name is Martha! If you go there, please ask for her and tell her McKenzie and Zach recommended her... You won't be disappointed! Now here is another fun fact, there is also Salsa and Beer #4! Same wonderfulness and the size of the restaurant is somewhere in between 2 and 3. Go get the best Mexican food in the San Fernando valley! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ”

“ Loved the food... even had amazing leftovers. Space is a little tight, but worth that conscience. Enjoy! ”

- Mike Henry -

“ This is the smaller restaurant and I wasnt sure if we would get a table, but they made room for 4 adults and a kid! The food is the best I've ever had, it puts every Mexican place I've ever had to shame! ”
